Over the past decade, urban roads in Taiwan have seen an increasing number of internally illuminated signs. In Taipei City, nearly all intersections have signs for prohibitions, warnings, and directions that glow actively at night, displaying clear text and graphics. Pedestrians and drivers can see them clearly from afar, garnering much praise. This is a significant innovation by Taiwan's road traffic management department, using acrylic material for transparent panels with attached reflective film, illuminated by lighting fixtures. Although the signs are somewhat bulky, the technology is improving year by year, with the most important aspect being the enhancement and improvement of road traffic safety and order.
