On July 1, 2019, the world-renowned Beijing Daxing International Airport, a joint creation by the Paris Airport Group's architectural design company ADP Ingénierie (ADPI) and the late architect Zaha Hadid and her team, was officially opened. Along with its construction, the expressway from downtown Beijing to Daxing Airport was also opened to traffic. To meet the requirement and ensure that Daxing International Airport operates flights around the clock, regardless of weather conditions, the expressway needed to be accessible at all times. In 2015, the I-ROAD team of scientists and engineers received the innovative research and development task of traffic signs. After five years, the "safety visibility, intelligent network connection, active perception, digital online" actively glowing signs were officially applied, using mixed light directional technology to ensure an extremely uniform and clear visibility effect up to 200 meters away. Equipped with visibility detectors, the signs can automatically switch on or off the glowing mode according to the ambient brightness, or adjust the brightness automatically for optimal visibility. The glowing signs are powered by 24V low-voltage electricity, with power consumption not exceeding 15W per square meter. As large-scale outdoor optoelectronic products, they have a design lifespan of 10 years and are equipped with Internet of Things smart detection devices for maintenance-free inspection and maintenance.
